About Mahesha

Mahesha Rice is a Reiki Master, EFT Practitioner, and dedicated healer who supports others in emotional healing and personal transformation. Her journey is shaped by resilience, following a traumatic childhood and challenging adoption experience.

Adopted at eight and moved from Sri Lanka to France, she endured years of emotional pain, neglect, and abuse. After the loss of her adoptive mother in 2020, she faced deep depression and anxiety. While traditional therapy helped, true healing came through EFT tapping, meditation, breathwork, Reiki, and Ho'oponopono. Today, Mahesha helps others release anxiety, overcome emotional blocks, and reconnect with their inner strength. Through Reiki, EFT Tapping, NLP and other Energy Healing modalities, she offers compassionate support for healing and growth.

Earlier this year, Mahesha Rice was honoured with the Holistic Therapist of the Year – South England Award, recognising her impactful work in Reiki healing, EFT tapping, emotional healing, and nervous system support. This award reflects her dedication to helping individuals release anxiety, overcome emotional blocks, and experience deep, lasting transformation through energy healing and consistent support. Through Reiki Renewal Rising®, Mahesha continues to provide a unique space for online Reiki healing, guided emotional support, and powerful personal growth, supporting clients worldwide on their healing journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Ho'oponopono and the 21-day journey.

No, Ho'oponopono is not tied to any specific religion or spiritual belief system. While it originates from Hawaiian culture, the practice is secular and can be adapted to fit any belief system or worldview. Whether you're religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheist, the principles of forgiveness, responsibility, and healing are universal. The practice works on the principle of cleaning your inner state through the four phrases. You don't need to believe in anything supernatural—simply repeating the phrases and setting the intention to release old patterns is enough. Many people find that Ho'oponopono complements their existing spiritual or religious practices beautifully.

Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness that dates back centuries. The word translates to 'to make right' in Hawaiian. It's based on the principle that we are 100% responsible for everything that appears in our reality. In traditional Hawaiian culture, Ho'oponopono was used as a family healing practice to resolve conflicts and restore harmony. The practice gained international recognition through Dr. Hew Len, a Hawaiian psychologist who used Ho'oponopono principles to heal patients. Today, it's used as a modern spiritual practice for personal healing, relationship improvement, and manifestation. The core mantra—'I'm sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you'—is the foundation of the practice.

Each daily email in the 21-day journey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to read and practice. The practice is designed to be simple and accessible, even for busy schedules. You can practice the core mantra throughout your day—while commuting, during breaks, or before bed—without needing dedicated meditation time. The beauty of Ho'oponopono is its flexibility. Some people spend just 2-3 minutes repeating the four phrases, while others prefer a deeper 15-20 minute practice with visualization and journaling. There's no 'right' way to do it—the key is consistency and intention.

Ho'oponopono is a complementary practice that many people find helpful for emotional healing and mental wellness. The practice focuses on releasing old memories, resentments, and limiting beliefs that often contribute to anxiety and emotional pain. By 'cleaning' these patterns, many practitioners report feeling more peaceful, grounded, and emotionally resilient. However, it's important to note that Ho'oponopono is not a replacement for professional mental health treatment. If you're dealing with clinical depression, severe anxiety, trauma, or other mental health conditions, please continue working with a qualified therapist or mental health professional. Ho'oponopono works best as a complementary practice alongside professional care.

Life happens, and missing a day doesn't mean you've failed or need to start over. Ho'oponopono is a practice, not a test. If you miss a day, simply pick up where you left off the next day. The 21-day structure is designed to create momentum and consistency, but the practice itself is flexible and forgiving. Some people complete the 21 days consecutively, while others spread them out over a longer period. What matters most is your intention and consistency over time. Even if you only practice 3-4 days a week, you'll still experience benefits. The key is to make it a sustainable habit that fits your life.

Ho'oponopono is unique because it's based on the principle of 100% responsibility. Rather than focusing on changing external circumstances or other people, Ho'oponopono asks you to take full responsibility for your inner state and your perception of reality. This is fundamentally different from many other practices that focus on positive thinking, visualization, or external manifestation. While practices like meditation, affirmations, and visualization are valuable, Ho'oponopono goes deeper by addressing the subconscious 'data' or memories that create your reality. It's less about adding positive thoughts and more about clearing negative patterns. Many people find that combining Ho'oponopono with other practices creates a powerful synergy.

Yes, one of the most powerful aspects of Ho'oponopono is that you can practice it for any situation that appears in your reality—including other people's problems. However, it's important to understand that you're not trying to 'fix' them or change them. Instead, you're cleaning your own inner state and perception of the situation. For example, if you're concerned about a family member's health, you would practice Ho'oponopono to clean your own fear, worry, and limiting beliefs about the situation. As you clean your inner state, the external situation often shifts naturally. This is the principle of 100% responsibility—recognizing that what you perceive is a reflection of your inner state.

The four phrases are: (1) 'I'm sorry'—This acknowledges your role in the situation. It's about taking responsibility for your perception and experience. (2) 'Please forgive me'—This is a request for forgiveness from the Divine, from others, and from yourself. It opens the door to healing and release. (3) 'Thank you'—This is gratitude for the opportunity to clean and heal. It also acknowledges that the cleaning is already happening. (4) 'I love you'—This is the highest vibration, representing unconditional love, acceptance, and peace. Together, these four phrases create a powerful mantra for releasing old patterns, clearing resentment, and returning to a state of peace. You can repeat them in any order, focus on one phrase at a time, or use them as a complete sequence.

The benefits of Ho'oponopono can be subtle or dramatic, depending on your starting point and how deeply you engage with the practice. Some people report immediate shifts in mood and perspective, while others notice gradual changes over time. Common signs that Ho'oponopono is working include: feeling more peaceful and less reactive, improved relationships and better communication, reduced anxiety or worry, greater clarity about your purpose, increased synchronicities and 'coincidences,' better sleep and more energy, feeling more forgiving toward yourself and others, and shifts in external circumstances that align with your inner healing. Trust your own experience. If you feel more at peace, more connected to others, or more hopeful about your life, Ho'oponopono is working for you.

Absolutely. Ho'oponopono is complementary and works beautifully alongside other practices such as therapy, meditation, yoga, energy work, or any other healing modality. In fact, many practitioners find that combining Ho'oponopono with other practices creates a more powerful and comprehensive healing experience. If you're currently working with a therapist, counselor, or other healthcare provider, Ho'oponopono can support and enhance that work. Simply let them know you're adding this practice to your routine. There are no contraindications or conflicts with other healing modalities.
